Winters Miniature Pinschers is a small show dog kennel. After breeding champion Whippets for fifteen years, I downsized to Min Pins in the late 1980’s, and keep ten adults, plus puppies here in my home. I am AKC licensed to judge Min Pins and Whippets. I have bred or owned over fifty Min Pin champions and my dogs have won many National Specialty (two Best of Breed), Specialty and All Breed honors.
In 2010, Merlyn specialed the beautiful Min Pin, GrCh. Winters Incredible Me “Icy”, quite successfully winning groups, group placements and specialties. “Icy” ended as No. 4 Min Pin in breed standings. Most gratifying to me as a breeder has been Icy’s worth as a stud dog. In 2010 alone, bred to no outside bitches,” Icy” has produced 11 champions. When bred twice to Ch.Winters Red Chiffon, he produced 8 champions. Chiffon who became a Hall of Fame bitch, has 12 champion offspring. Chiffon and Icy were MPCA Dam and Stud Dog of the Year for 2010.
For the year 2011, we will special the dynamic son of Chiffon and Icy, GrCh Winters What About Me “Ace”. “Ace” is co-owned with Sue Griswold. Dr. Merlyn Green, my neighbor, will continue as my invaluable and talented handler and friend. He has shown a number of my Min Pins to their championships, with many breed and group wins. I breed about one or two litters a year and occasionally have litter-box trained and socialized pet quality pups for sale. Show dogs are sold less frequently. Puppies are sold with a health, money-back or replacement guarantee.
All pets are spayed and neutered.
